The best way to finish strong is to start strong.
Healthy leaders create a 100-day plan, just as each President does, to set the tone for their teams.
If you want to reach your goals, you have to mentally see them and then physically write them down. Just seeing them is not sufficient – your goals should be written.
Writing (or typing) your goals will clarify what you are trying to accomplish. It also forms a critical transition between simply being interested in a goal to being committed to them. After all, a goal without a plan is just a dream.
To boost accountability for achieving your 100 Day Plan:
- Involve your team in developing the plan. We are committed to that which we help create.
- Keep it visible … to you and to your team.
- Determine what you will do each day to execute each action, and do those tasks first!
- Maintain a meeting rhythm with your team to assess progress on each action.
- Coach performance to stay/get on track with your plan.
- Celebrate success with your team at 100 days.
And of course, on day 101 create a plan for the next 100 days.
Here’s to starting strong!
