We have been fortunate to have two of our children experience the leadership of Dr. Nathan Hatch, President at Wake Forest University.  Dr. Hatch is retiring after 16 years of great service and commitment to the school’s motto, Pro Humanitate (For Humanity), a calling to use our knowledge, talents and compassion to better the lives of others.

In a recent tribute video, true leadership was described as less about who follows behind you, and more about whose needs you put in front of your own.

This describes the thousands of students’ and staff needs that Dr. Hatch has put above his own and is a hallmark of healthy leadership.

Whose needs are in front of yours today?
