This majestic image is one of Tom’s “flower-scapes” in the Wind River Range (near the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming).
The amazing proliferation of alpine sunflowers leads the eye to the beautiful, secluded lake below—while the distant peaks tower 12,000-13,000 feet above.
Tom’s journey required over 3,000 miles of driving (from Tennessee) and over 40 miles of backpacking into the unknown—not knowing if the flowers were blooming.
He calls this image The Goodness of God. Tom says, “Consider the flowers of the field; if God so cares for them, will He not much more do so for you?”
