A survey of 10,000+ LinkedIn users revealed that 69% of them would leave their job if they had a bad manager. However, only 30% said they want to become a people manager within the next few years.

In fact, a survey of 500 managers by West Monroe Consulting found that 66% received eight hours or less of manager training. More alarming is that those who had been managers for less than a year, 43% had received no training at all.
