Boy helping woman_0

We have all experienced the limiting effects of this pandemic on buinesses, schools, recreational activities, entertainment, and social gatherings.  As a result, we have lost many daily human interactions and connections.

We are social animals. Connecting with and helping one another is wired deeply in our brains.

Neuroscience shows that helping others is not only good for those we help, but it also helps us. Powerful neurochemicals like dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin are released when we help one another.  These chemicals boost our mood and that of the recipients.

The bottom line: when we help others, we help ourselves.

Even with the current constraints, find a way each day to reach out and help someone. It could be a check-in phone call, a letter, baking for essential workers, donating food, safely volunteering at food bank, etc.

What the world needs now is YOU!  You, your love and your helping hands.
