The Christ the Redeemer statue is one of the new seven wonders of the world and a cultural icon for Rio de Janeiro. A past summer Olympics cemented this image into the minds of millions.
What really struck me was this video of workers making repairs from lightning damage. The workers take a real walk of faith on several levels (starting at 1 min. 50 secs.)
I have jumped out of an airplane at 14,000 feet, but I would not take this walk at just 100 feet above ground! The worker’s loosely drawn safety cable almost seems unnecessary as he calmly walks to and from the extended hand of Jesus.
In which areas of life do you need to have more faith:
- faith in yourself,
- faith in your capabilities,
- faith in your team,
- faith in your family or
- faith in what you believe?
